In celebration of culture day and under the auspices of the Directorate of culture in Lattakia and Cultural Center in Jableh, the director of the Cultural Center in Jableh, Mayada Hassan, in the presence of the painter Vladimir al-Khader and participating children, opened the children’s plastic art exhibition entitled (Phoenix) in the exhibition hall of Jableh Cultural Center.
The exhibition included 87 watercolor paintings by Vladimir’s students ranging in age from 3 to 12 years. The drawings dealt with various topics from the coastal environment, the sea and the village, in addition to various subjects.
The artist Vladimir al-Khader explained that this annual exhibition for his students was titled: (Phoenix) and is the culmination of children’s drawings during the workshops held last summer after the ordeal that the children went through after the devastating earthquake.
Al-Khader pointed out that the exhibition also supports the talents of children and motivates them in developing and nurturing their talents.
Jana Al-Kaadi, 13 years old, participated in a painting inspired by nature and the rural environment.
Maryam Mohammed, 11 years old, participated in a beautiful painting inspired by the charming nature, distinguished by striking color.
Ali, 7 years old, and Masa al-Asaad, 8 years old, participated in the owl painting, and Ibrahim al-Asaad, 12 years old, participated in a landscape painting.
