Persevering women deserve to be proud and honored

The Martyrs ‘wives of the Syrian Arab Army are also heroes because they are symbols of struggle in the battle of life. They deserve to be a source of pride for us.

“Their sacrifices allowed us to live in peace and made our country free”, with these touching words, Mrs. Nada Muhammad, the wife of the martyr Muhammad Adbah, a hero of the Syrian Arab Army, told us about her husband’s heroics and her life after his martyrdom.

She said:” He fought many honorable battles, moved between several fronts and participated in the liberation of many areas in Damascus countryside, such as Al Hajar Al Alaswad, Basateen Al-Razi and others. The last station of the martyr was in the Al-Qadam area. The martyr Adbah was a group leader and stayed for a whole year fighting battles with his men against terrorists, to end his heroics in January 2014 where he was martyred with a group of fighters. The building in which he was martyred has been named (Ambush Al-Adba) in memory of him”

Mrs. Adbah added.

When we asked Mrs. Adbah about the difficulties she faced as a mother of three children after her husband’s death, she replied:” In the beginning, the journey was very difficult, but God gave me patience and strength to continue giving and do my duty towards my children, so I have strived to compensate them for the absence of their father. My first goal was to complete my children’s education, so they joined the schools of the sons of the martyrs.

My eldest son, Yunus, finished secondary school and insisted to follow in his father’s footsteps, and join the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army to become an officer in the Military College”.

Mrs. Adbah concluded by saying: “My children inherited from their father the love of the homeland and the sacrifice for its sake. I feel proud and honored to be the wife of a martyr who sacrificed himself so that his children could live with honor and dignity”.
