People’s Assembly: The Anniversary Of Raising National Flag In Liberated Al-Quneitra City Is A Symbol Of Steadfastness And Victory
Damascus – (ST)-The People’s Assembly affirmed that the day of June 26, 1974, will be immortal in the contemporary history of Syria and will remain present in the conscience of Syrians and a symbol of steadfastness and victory, as it is the day when the founding leader, Hafez al-Assad, raised the flag of the homeland in the sky of liberated Quneitra, as a culmination of the heroism and sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and the defeat of the Zionist occupation forces from the city that was subjected to a brutal and barbaric attack, the destructive effects of which are still visible to this day.
The Assembly said in a statement issued on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of raising the flag: “We in the People’s Assembly affirm that our steadfast Syrian people are committed today more than ever to achieving final victory over the forces of evil, aggression and terrorism supported by the United States of America and their allies, and are completely certain of the failure of their methods and sieges thanks to the awareness of the people who adhere to their principles and principles, the valor and heroism of our Syrian Arab army, and the wisdom and courage of the leader of the nation, Mr. President Bashar al-Assad.”
The Assembly concluded its statement by saluting the soul the founding leader Hafez al-Assad, and the souls of the martyrs of October Liberation War and the righteous martyrs of the homeland. It also saluted the people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan as they resisted the brutal occupation with all determination, strength, and ability, and the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army who achieved victory.
