People’s Assembly: Evacuation Day Anniversary will continue to be an incentive for the Syrian people to foil conspiracies

Damascus, (ST) – The People’s Assembly has affirmed that the Annivesary of Evacuation Day will remain an incentive for the Syrian people, who cling to their national unity, to triumph over the conspiracies being hatched against them.

In a statement marking the 77th anniversary of the evacuation of the French colonizers from Syria, the Assembly said: “This anniversary acquires great importance in the light of the regional and international developments, especially after the successive victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army over the forces of evil, terrorism and aggression”.
“The Syrian Arab army proved to the whole world that we will continue with our resistance approach which is being embodied today on the ground by the great sacrifices and steadfatness in the face of the unjust schemes, the coercive unilateral measures and the unfair economic blockade that targets Syria’s land, people and institutions,” the statement  added.
It stressed that “There is a great confidence in achieving the final victory thanks to the steadfastness of our people and heroic deeds of the army,” the statement stressed.

The Progressive National Front also issued a statement marking the Evacuation Day Anniversary.

The statement said that it is Syria’s fate to continue with its steadfastness in defense of its freedom, independence and sovereignty and in the confrontation of the schemes and greedy aspirations of the Zionist entity and its masters and agents in the region.

Evacuation Day Anniversary comes this year while Syria is still facing an unprecedented war against terrorism and its supporters, a war that has been continuous for about 13 years, yet Syria been a strong fortress in the face of the western colonialist schemes, the statement went on to say.

The statement affirmed the Syria people’s continuous struggle until terrorism is defeated and the Syria territories, which are under the Turkish and American occupations and their mercenaries and affiliated gangs, are liberated.

The statement pointed out that the new shift in the Arab and international stances towards Syria confirms the rightness of the Syrian national stances.
