Patrushev: Washington uses terrorist organizations for its geopolitical purposes

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said that the United States continues to use terrorist organizations such as (Al-Qaeda) and (Taliban) to achieve its own geopolitical goals.

“We must not forget that (Al-Qaeda) and (Taliban) were created by the Americans and are still actively used by the US special services to achieve geopolitical goals,” RIA Novosti news agency quoted Patrushev as saying at a meeting of senior representatives of the BRICS countries responsible for security issues on June 15.

Patrushev stressed that Russia will continue to make the necessary efforts to combat international terrorism.

Patrushev added that the efforts cannot be effective without the intervention of the entire international community and the creation of a broad front to combat terrorism.
