The Palestinian Prisoners and Released Affairs Authority has warned of the deterioration of the health of three prisoners as a result of the violations of the Israeli occupation against them, foremost of which is deliberate medical negligence.
Wafa Agency quoted the authority as saying in a statement today: The health condition of the prisoner, Raed Rayan, who has been on hunger strike for the 39th day is deteriorating, indicating that the occupation authorities are holding him in a solitary cell in Ofer Ma’ detention camp which in turn doubles the risk to his health.
The commission pointed out that the prisoner Khalil Awawda, who is detained in Ramle prison, continues his hunger strike for the 74th day, amid sharp deterioration in his health and fears for his life.
The commission indicated that the prisoner, Nidal Radwan, who is being held in the Negev prison, suffers from nerve problems and continuous back pain, while the occupation authorities refuse to provide him with the necessary treatment.
The Commission noted that the occupation continues to practice the policy of deliberate medical neglect against the prisoners, in flagrant violation of international laws and norms, calling on international institutions to shoulder their responsibilities and intervene immediately and urgently to release them.
