The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club confirmed that the statements of the fascist and extremist Ben -Gvir ( who is a settler in the Israel-occupied West Bank) about executing Palestinian prisoners by shooting them in the head are no longer a surprise for a minister who represents a structure of a system that practices genocide against the Palestinian people, and only speaks in the language of killing and fighting any Palestinian presence in any form.
“These statements went beyond the stage of threats, as Ben- Gvir has actually carried out his threats to kill and execute Palestinian prisoners and detainees since the beginning of the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip” Club President Abdullah Al-Zaghari said in a statement on Sunday .
He added” Ben Gvir, in person, represents an entire occupation system that seeks to fight the Palestinian presence, including the killing of more prisoners and detainees, in addition to the unprecedented crimes carried out against them, most notably the crimes of torture and starvation, medical crimes, and forced disappearance, in addition to the tragic and harsh conditions of detention and collectivism isolation and endless torture.
Al-Zaghari stressed that all the crimes we are witnessing today against prisoners and detainees are nothing but another face of the ongoing and continuing genocide in front of the world and with the support of clear international powers. He pointed out that all the current transformations in the reality of the conditions of prisoners in the occupation detention centers are merely an extension of transformations that had begun years ago and have reached their peak today.
Al-Zaghari stressed that the testimonies and accounts that we follow daily through the legal teams and through the released prisoners reflect a truly unprecedented stage, and this is not an exaggeration, athough the occupation has committed its crimes against the prisoners for decades, what is happening today exceeds any level in its intensity. .
The club’s president called on the international human rights system at all levels to restore its necessary and required role and break the state of impotence that has brought us to this stage in which we are witnessing dangerous transformations on the humanitarian level, which has prompted the occupation to carry out more crimes within the framework of the ongoing war of annihilation and the fight against the Palestinian presence.
