Palestinian Ministry of Health calls on international institutions to provide the necessary needs to save the lives of the sick and wounded in Gaza
The Palestinian Ministry of Health called on all UN and international institutions to quickly intervene and provide the necessary needs of medicines and medical supplies to save the lives of the sick and wounded in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry said in a statement today: In light of the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the occupation’s control over all crossings and their closure, and its continued targeting of the health sector in Gaza, hospitals and health centers are suffering from an acute shortage of medicines and medical supplies necessary to continue providing services to save the lives of patients and injured
The Ministry explained that oncology patients who were unable to travel outside the Gaza Strip were limited to palliative treatment only after their medications were discontinued, as well as dialysis patients, especially children, which threatens the lives of approximately 1,000 dialysis patients – in addition to the severe shortage of medicines for chronic and psychological diseases and primary health supplies.
