Palestinian Ministry of Education: 8672 students martyred since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression against Gaza Strip
The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that 8,672 students were martyred and 14,583 were injured in Gaza Strip and the West Bank since the Israeli occupation began its aggression against the Strip on October 7th.
The ministry of Education explained in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the number of students who were martyred in Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached 8,572, and those who were injured reached 14,089, while 100 students were martyred, 494 were injured and 349 others were detained in the West Bank.
The Ministry indicated that 497 teachers and administrative staff members were martyred and 3,402 were injured in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, while more than 109 were detained in the West Bank.
The Ministry pointed out that 353 schools, universities, and 65 UNRWA schools were bombed and vandalized in Gaza Strip, resulting in 139 of them being severely damaged and 93 completely destroyed. 133 schools were also used as shelter centers, while 57 schools in the West Bank were stormed and vandalized.
The Ministry confirmed that 620,000 students in Gaza Strip are still deprived of enrolling in their schools since the start of the aggression, while most of the students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.
