Palestinian Health Ministry: The only oxygen station in Gaza is at risk of stopping within hours

Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health warned that the only oxygen station in Gaza is at risk of stopping within hours due to the Israeli occupation preventing the entry of fuel, calling on UN institutions to intervene.

“Within hours, the only oxygen station in Gaza, which supplies health facilities and chronic patients with oxygen, is threatened with a complete shutdown, exposing dozens of sick and wounded people to certain death. The medicines in the refrigerators were damaged due to the lack of fuel to operate the generator feeding the oxygen station and the refrigerators for storing medicines”, the Ministry stated.

In turn, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that the Israeli occupation continues to close the Rafah crossing amid severe and imminent levels of famine in the Strip,

It pointed out that imposing this collective punishment on the people of Gaza not only exacerbates the humanitarian situation in the Strip, but also constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the necessity of stopping the aggression against Rafah and taking all measures to prevent acts prohibited under the Genocide Convention.
