Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Israeli occupation’s attacks on Palestinians is part and parcel of ethnic cleansing

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Jun.1, (ST)- The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the Israeli settlers’ attacks against Palestinians in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the West Bank, under the protection of the occupation forces, is part and parcel of the policy of ethnic cleansing to displace Palestinians from the area and hand it over to settlers.

 
The ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday that the Israeli settlers’ attacks in the village of Al-Jawaya, east of Masafer Yatta, under the protection of the occupation forces, and what is happening daily in occupied Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley, south and west of Nablus, Hebron, Bethlehem, Qalqilya and other attacks, crimes and the demolition of houses are part of the colonial occupation scheme. To annex the West Bank and end the chances of establishing an independent Palestinian state on the line of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital
 
It stressed that the escalation of violations and crimes that the Palestinian people, their land, rights and sanctities are being subjected to are a direct result of the existence of the occupation and settlements and a non-serious type that dominates the positions of the international community based on contentment with some statements of condemnation and formal rejection of the violations and crimes of the occupation, foremost of which is settlement, without being linked to real pressure that guarantees the occupation authorities’ comply with international law and UN resolutions.
 
“The silence of the international community regarding the crimes of the occupation has encouraged it to go ahead with them and escalate the expansionist colonial settlement operations,” the ministry stressed,  pointing out that the failure of the international community to implement its decisions on the Palestinian issue and replacing them with phrases became an integral part of attempts providing more time for the occupation authorities to liquidate the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.
