Palestinian Foreign Ministry: International failure to stop the war of extermination encouraged the occupation to announce its plans to annex the West Bank

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the international failure to stop the war of extermination and displacement, and its inability to implement the international legitimacy resolutions, encourages the Israeli occupation government to publicly press ahead with its plans to annex large parts of the West Bank, and demand that the world recognize this.

The ministry said in a statement today, reported by WAFA : “The ministers in the occupation government are making statements regarding the expansionist settlement projects aimed at annexing the West Bank or parts of it to examine international reactions. The aim is to create a favorable climate for committing this heinous crime, and remove the political, legal and humanitarian necessity to stop the war of extermination and displacement from the international concerns.”

The ministry pointed out that the occupation government seeks to rearrange the priorities of the region and the world according to its map of interests in continuing the war of extermination and displacement, liquidating the Palestinian cause, and undermining any opportunity to embody the Palestinian state on the ground. The occupation is at the same time escalating its illegal unilateral measures on the ground, such as seizing lands, demolishing homes, paving more colonial roads, and others.
