Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for international protection from the crimes of the Israeli occupation

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again called on the international community to provide international protection for the Palestinian people from the crimes of the Israeli occupation that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Ministry stressed the need for the International Criminal Court to expedite the start of its investigations into the crimes of the occupation.

The Ministry condemned in a statement the crime committed by the occupation forces at dawn today in the town of Silat Al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, which led to the death of a 17-year-old Palestinian boy and the wounding of 20 with bullets. In addition to occupation forces’ bombing of the house of the prisoner Mahmoud Jaradat and the displacement of its residents. It stressed that the crimes of the Israeli occupation in the town represent an extension of its continuous aggression in Jenin, Nablus, and the entire West Bank and Gaza Strip, in the worst forms of organized terrorism and the apartheid regime against the Palestinians.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry also called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its aggression against Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), which aims to displace them from their homes to be handed over to settlers.

A Palestinian was killed at dawn by Israeli forces’ bullets, west of Jenin, while the occupation continues for the second day to close Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and prevent Palestinians from entering or leaving it, as it threatens to seize the home of Salem’s family and displace its residents.
