Palestinian Education Ministry calls on the international community to stop the occupation’s attacks on educational institutions

The Palestinian Ministry of Education condemned the blatant attack that was carried out by  the Israeli occupation forces on the secondary school in the village of Haris, west of the city of Salfit in the West Bank, calling on the international community to stop the occupation’s attacks on educational institutions.
“This brutal attack, which led to the detention of the school principal and three teachers, terrorizing students and causing damage to the school, is a flagrant violation of students’ rights to safe and stable education, and it represents an assault on the sanctity of educational institutions and their lofty role in building generations”. The ministry said in a statement on Monday reported  by the WAFA news agency.
The statement called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately to stop these repeated violations and ensure the protection of educational institutions, teaching staff and students, stressing the need for the immediate release of the detained director and teachers and holding those responsible for this criminal act accountable.
