Like other Syrian women who, during the terrorist war on Syria, presented to the world an example of patience and steadfastness, Tammoun Al-Abbas, Umm Ghayath, a mother of 4 martyrs and a wounded person from the village of Oum Al-Tuyour in Hama countryside, talked about her experience during the war.
“My sons served in the army and supportive forces to fight the terrorist groups in different parts of the homeland. They were brave in defending their country and I am so proud of their martyrdom, because their sacred blood had contributed to saving the homeland from falling under the control of terrorism and its supporters,” Oum Ghayath said.
“I taught my children what I learned from my family in terms of values, principles, morals, and love for the homeland, and every time I received the news of the martyrdom of one of my sons, God granted me strength and patience. I every day pray for mercy to all the martyrs, for patience and solace to their families, and for victory to Syria”, she said.
She also talked about her wounded son, Mer’i Al-Abbas, who realized the size of the conspiracy against his homeland, so he joined the ranks of the backup forces, and like his martyred brothers, did not hesitate for a moment to sacrifice. He was exposed to four injuries while performing his duty.
For his part, Mer’i talked about the martyrdom of his brothers, saying “our love for our country and our knowledge that it is being subjected to a great conspiracy prompted me and my brothers to voluntarily join the armed forces to defend it, as we were brought up to love our homeland and sacrifice the dearest in defense of its dignity”.
“In 2012, we received the news about the martyrdom of my brother Mahmoud. Later, my brothers Abbas and Yaroub were also martyred together on the same day followed by my brother Ammar after fierce battles against the terrorists, giving the best example of sacrifice to protect the country” Mer’i added proudly.
