The Palestine Red Crescent Society-Syria today opened the Yarmouk Medical and Community Camp Center in Damascus.
According to the coordinator of the community section, Rana Gharib, the center consists of three floors and a basement and provides community services, including vocational courses, a meeting room and a painting show, in addition to psychological support and health services, including dialysis and first aid.
Secretary-General of the Arab Organization of the Red Crescent and the Red Cross, “Arco” Saleh bin Hamad Al- Tuwaijri praised the efforts of the Palestinian Red Crescent in trying to provide the basics and restore life to Yarmouk camp, noting what has happened in Syria since 2011 and the war against it and the negative and devastating effects on Syrian society in general and the Palestinian in particular.
The ambassador of the state of Palestine in Damascus, Samir al-Rifai, said that the opening of this center in Yarmouk camp is important, because it encourages people to return to it. It also carries a message that despite the years of the terrorist war on Syria, this camp and all Syrian lands will rise again.
