On the occasion of Ramadan,  the Minister of Awqaf (religious endowments) confirms that society is recovering and integrating .

Minister of Awqaf (Islamis Trusts), Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Sattar al-Sayyid, said: God made the month of Ramadan a month  in which good deeds are multiplied and prayers are answered because it is the month of charity, feeding, feeling the pain of the poor and needy, and consoling the afflicted and the affected.

In a televised speech on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, the Minister called on the monied  and merchants to spend their money in this holy month to alleviate the suffering of the poor and limit the effects of the global crisis and the blockade. He highlighted the importance of donation in the recovery and integration of society through Zakat (Islamic Tax) and charity , spreading good deeds secretly and publicly, and moving with initiatives to feed, clothe, pay off debts and meet needs, especially after the earthquake disaster that struck our country, in addition to the effects of the unjust economic blockade imposed on our country years ago.

Minister Al-Sayed, in his name and on behalf of the scholars and workers in the Ministry of Awqaf and its religious and advocacy institutions, conveyed to President Bashar Al-Assad congratulations and blessings, as well as the most sincere feelings of affection and loyalty to his leadership and his pioneering career.

The Minister of Awqaf concluded his speech by praying to God to protect President Al-Assad, to support our valiant Syrian Arab army, and to have mercy on our righteous martyrs who were martyred  while defending the country’s wealth, security and unity.
