They affirmed that the Golan was and will remain Syrian Arab, and it will return to the homeland, no matter how long the occupation lasts.
The people of the Golan said in a statement today on the 77th anniversary of the Evacuation Day, “In the occupied Syrian Arab Golan and on the 77th anniversary of the Great Day of Evacuation, we salute the heroes of our Syrian Arab people against the foreign colonizer. We also take pride in the heroes and mujahideen of the Great Syrian Revolution against the French colonizer in 1925 led by Mujahid Sultan Pasha Al-Atrash and all his comrades throughout Syria, foremost of them are Ibrahim Hanano, Saleh al-Ali, Yousef al-Azama, and many other fighters and leaders of Syria’s liberation national struggle.”
In their statement, they added: “From the honorable history of these heroics, struggles and glories, we renew our rejection of the Israeli occupation of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan and all its expansionist plans aimed at separating us from our homeland, Syria,” reaffirming at the same time the will and determination of the heroes of the evacuation that the Golan was and will remain Arab and Syrian and is returning to the homeland, no matter how long the night of darkness and injustice lasts, and that the free Syrian Arab will that expelled the French colonizer is the same as Syria’s free national will to expel the Israeli occupier from Golan territory.
