On International Quds Day, the Palestinians continue the battle of steadfastness to thwart the plans of the occupation
Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Denouncing the comprehensive war of Judaization that the occupied city of Jerusalem has been subjected to at the hands of the Israeli occupation authorities for more than 70 years, the Palestinians celebrated the International Quds Day through a series of mass events in the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip, stressing their continuity in the battle of steadfastness against the occupation until victory against the occupation.
International Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan, has gained a different momentum this year through the Jerusalemites’ response to the storming of the occupation forces and settlers in the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque within a comprehensive plan to Judaize the city, which is the historical capital of Palestine and the spiritual capital of the three religions, according to what the Director of Al-Quds International Center Hassan Khater indicated in a statement to news reporter.
Khater explained that the escalating plans of the occupation in Jerusalem and the sinful attack on Islamic and Christian sanctities in it were faced by an escalation in the spirit of challenge and resistance among the Palestinian people, and the best evidence of this is the scenes of the influx of tens of thousands of Palestinians to Al-Aqsa, defying the occupation and its aggressive policies and racist schemes in a message that the Palestinian people will continue their battle to protect Jerusalem and its sanctities, stressing that the occupation is living in a state of anxiety, fear and anticipation, especially that the last battle of Al-Aqsa represented a victory over the occupation and a failure of its Judaization plans.
Al-Quds affairs specialist Fakhri Abu Diyab made it clear that Quds Day represents a day of solidarity with and support for Jerusalem and sends a message to the occupation that Jerusalem will remain the central issue of the Arab and Islamic nations, and that the policy of imposing new facts that the occupation is trying to establish on the ground will be destroyed on the rock of Palestinian steadfastness in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.
Member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Maryam Abu Daqqa, confirmed that continuing the resistance and steadfastness against the occupier is the only way to liberate the land, pointing out that Quds Day gave the Palestinian cause broad momentum and solidarity and is an important occasion to remind the world of the Judaization and settlement of the holy city at the hands of the occupation displacement, ethnic cleansing, and fierce aggression targeting its holy sites, which the Palestinians met with legendary resistance in confronting the occupation and settlers’ flocks during their recent incursions to Al-Aqsa.
