Israeli occupation’s attempts to Judaize occupied Al-Quds, hinder the establishment of Palestinian state continue

The Israeli occupation attempts to separate the occupied city of Al-Quds from its Palestinian depth continue with the aim of Judiazing it and preventing the establishment of the Palestinian state on the basis of the June 4th, 1967 line, with Al-Quds as its capital.

In its weekly report, published on Saturday, the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s (PLO) National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements, said that the Israeli occupation authorities have seized 82 dunums of land in villages, to the north of Al-Quds, with the aim of building a railway that links the west of the city to Al-Quds International Airport in Qalandia town in the city’s north.

According to the report, the occupation has been establishing settlement roads in the neighborhoods and villages of Al-Quds with the aim of separating them from each others in preparation for implementing a plan, announced last year, to establish a new settlement on the land of Al-Quds airport in Qalandiya to be a settlement barrier that separates Al-Quds from its natural extension and Palestinian depth in the north.

The report went on to say that the occupation announced another plan to set up a railway in Al-Quds old city that extends from the old railway stations in Al-Khalil road to Bab Al-Magharbeh where a station is to be built to help settlers reach Al-Buraq Wall and the old city.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces demolished houses, agricultural and commercial facilities in several areas in Al-Quds, Bethlehem and the northern Jordan valley.

The occupation forces, the report added, also seized 40 dunums of land planted with olive trees in a village in Bethlehem and razed agricultural lands west of the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

Moreover, the report said, the Israeli settlers continued with their attacks on the West Bank cities and towns.

“Protected by the Israeli occupation forces, the settlers stormed into areas in the city of Al-Khalil. They seized a house, burned olive trees and vandalized tens of dunums of agricultural land in Masafar Yatta town, south of the city. They also razed lands in Nablus to expand two settlement outposts and attacked the Palestinians and their properties in the towns Jenin and Kafel Haris in Salfit, Al-Mazra’a Al-Gharbiya in Ramallah and Al-Jaftak in the Northern Jordan valley,” the report clarified.
