Israel has detained 5300 Palestinians, including women and minors, since the beginning of 2022

The Israeli occupation authorities have detained 5300 Palestinians since the beginning of this year, including 111 women, 620 minors and 1610 administrative detainees, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Monday, according to WAFA News Agency.

The PPS added that the highest number of detentions was recorded in occupied East Al-Quds. The detained people number 2353, 1228 of whom were detained in April, it clarified.

The PPS went on to say that this year the Israeli occupation raided many Palestinian cities, towns an,d refugee camps and broke into houses to detain Palestinians, pointing out the occupation forces intentionally caused heavy damage to the Palestinian houses during these raids.
