Minister of Oil and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy discuss opportunities for joint cooperation in the oil and gas sectors

Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Firas Qaddour reviewed with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus, Yassin Sharif Al-Hujaimi, the opportunities of developing joint cooperation between Syria and Iraq in the oil and gas sectors.

During the meeting on Monday, ways of enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise , information and experiences between the two countries and joint work in the fields of oil and gas were discussed.

The two sides stressed the importance of working to develop economic relations between Iraq and Syria and strengthening the strategic partnership in this vital and important sector, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
