Washington-(ST)- The New York Police suppressed a pro-Palestinian demonstration in front of the Brooklyn Museum.
Wafa Agency reported that the New York Police arrested at least 22 people for holding a sit-in in support of the Palestinians in front of the Brooklyn Museum, accusing them of causing riots.
Hundreds of demonstrators flocked to the art museum, chanting slogans and carrying pro-Palestinian signs, such as “Free Palestine, withdraw from genocide.”
Since last April, protests, sit-ins and demonstrations have been organized in New York and various parts of the United States in support of the Palestinians and denouncing the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which led to clashes with the police and the arrest of dozens of people participating in them.
