National Earthquake Center: 6 tremors recorded during the past 24 hours

Damascus, (ST) – The National Earthquake Center announced that the seismic monitoring stations recorded 6 tremors of varying intensity since yesterday until 8:00 am today.

The center said in a statement that, the tremors ranged between magnitude 1.9 and 2.7 on the Richter scale, and occurred at different times in areas 22 km and 24 km east of Hama, 30 km northwest of Latakia, in Liwa Iskenderun 42 km west of Idlib and 67 km northwest of Idlib.

The center added: A tremor measuring 4 on the Richter scale was monitored south-central Turkey 49 km east of the city of Bustan, near the site struck by the earthquake on February 6 last year.
