National Center for Excellence obtains two certificates of appreciation in the International Sports Modeling Competition for Teams
The National Center for Excellence won two certificates of appreciation in the global team mathematical modeling challenge organized by China remotely, with the participation of 68 teams representing 36 countries from around the world.
The Distinction and Creativity Authority said in a statement that the National Center for Excellence participated in two teams that obtained two certificates of appreciation. The first team comprised (Anas Ali Mayyah, Shadi Nidal Al-Hassan, Jaafar Abdul-Latif Sadiq and Ghadeer Mohsen Ahmed), while the second team comprised (Ali Younis Abbas, Hashem Hossam Salhab, Hanna Fadi Hanna, and Ward Muhammad Al-Shaqouf).
The authority noted that all the teams participating in this challenge worked in their private schools during 5 selected days from February 12 to April 29, as the members of each team in this competition were asked to participate in solving the mathematical modeling problem during the specified five days. The center’s two teams were able to achieve third place and obtain two certificates of appreciation.
It is noteworthy that mathematical modeling’s importance lies in its role in enhancing the capabilities of scientifically aspiring generations, as it is the art of converting the behavior of a system through the mathematical language, through the use of mathematical modeling to address realistic problems in life, whether in mathematics or in other sciences.
