Moscow calls for Britain to be held accountable for arms supplies to Ukraine

London (ST): The Russian Embassy in London has called for the UK government to be held responsible for supplying arms to Ukraine that the Kiev authorities use to attack civilian targets in Donbas. TASS news agency quoted the embassy as saying in a statement issued today: “We have repeatedly called on the British government to be vigilant and comply with its export control standards when supplying arms to Ukraine, and these calls have been ignored, pointing out that over the past few days, civilian targets in Donetsk have been regularly bombed by the armed forces of Ukraine with 155 mm cannons supplied by NATO countries.

The embassy statement pointed out that such attacks against the civilian population can only be achieved with the consent of the West and after the arms are delivered to Ukraine, where the United Kingdom, according to its own statements, plays a leading role.
