Moscow calls for an objective investigation into the assassination of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh

Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for a comprehensive and objective investigation into the murder of journalist Shirin Abu Aqleh, which was carried out in cold blood by the Israeli occupation forces.

 A statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry said  that Lavrov stressed the need to conduct a comprehensive and objective investigation. During his meeting with Fatah Central Committee member and Palestinian Minister of Civil Affairs Hussein al-Sheikh in Moscow, Lavrov expressed his condolences to the Palestinians on the death of Abu Aqleh, describing what Abu Aqleh was subjected to on 16th of May, as tragic.

Lavrov supported the demand of the leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization to conduct a comprehensive and objective investigation into the crime of her assassination.
