Minister of “Jerusalem” Affairs: The Israeli occupation threatens to demolish more than 20,000 homes

On May 22nd, Minister of “Jerusalem” Affairs Fadi al-Hedmi warned against the escalation of displacement and ethnic cleansing in the occupied city of “Jerusalem”.

He said that the Israeli occupation threatens to demolish more than 20,000 homes in the city.

Wafa Agency quoted Al-Hedmi as saying in statements that the Israeli occupation authorities intensified the demolition of Palestinian homes in “Jerusalem”, which affected more than 500 homes during the past two years.

Al-Hedmi said that since the beginning of this year, the force of Jerusalemites to self-demolish their homes has increased significantly.

Al-Hedmi pointed out that the Israeli occupation expands the settlements established on the lands of Jerusalem and links them through a series of streets, tunnels and bridges.

Al-Hedmi added that the settlers escalate their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque as part of the occupation’s plans to Judaize the city, stressing that Jerusalemites will continue to defend their land and sanctities and will fail the occupation plans.
