Minister of Endowments Muhammad Abul Sattar Al-Sayyid has stressed the importance of the combined efforts of religious institutions in managing religious discourse platforms that have a wide influence in the Arab and Islamic world, “especially since we are living in the era of modernity and social communication”.
Minister Al-Sayyid pointed out, during his chairmanship of the session of the second day of the Conference of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Islamic World Countries, held in the Holy City of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, that religious institutions should be aware and ready to deal with this new reality and its effects on youth and society as a whole, especially since many groups Extremists used these means to reach the minds of young people and poison them with deviant ideas.
During the session entitled “Modern means of communication and the role of the Ministries of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in benefiting from them and ways to prevent their dangers”, the Minister of Endowments reviewed the main points in the work paper presented by the Syrian Ministry of Endowments on “The most important proposed means for coordination between the Ministries of Endowments and Islamic Affairs on combating extremism and consolidating the values of moderation”.

The discussions included the need to present a religious discourse that is consistent with the reality of the two countries and the wars and conspiracies launched against them which were based on extremism and terrorist groups created by the West and the United States with the aim of undermining Syria and Iraq and spread chaos in the countries of the region.
