Minister of Culture, Director of the Shanghai Art Collections Museum discuss ways to enhance cultural cooperation

The minister of Culture Lubanah Mshaweh discussed with the Director of the Shanghai Art Collections Museum Hu Muqing and the accompanying delegation ways to enhance cultural cooperation between Syria and China.

The meeting, which took place in the Ministry’s building in Damascus, revolved around discussing the possibility of cooperation and Syria’s participation in the International Forum for the Preservation of Intangible Heritage in Shanghai, and in the Traditional Arts Exhibition, where the Minister of Culture expressed her approval for translating the Damascus Museum Guide into the Chinese language.

Mshaweh welcomed this cooperation, praised the depth of the cultural relations between Syria and China on the Silk Road and stressed the importance of relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples based on mutual respect and appreciation for their cultural depth and adherence to authenticity and identity.
