Minister Makhlouf inspects the firefighting operations in Lattakia countryside

Latakia  (ST): The Minister of Local Administration and Environment Hussein Makhlouf on Wednesday inspected the operations of extinguishing the fires in the northern countryside of Lattakia, and the efforts of the firefighting teams, with the support of army units and many people, to control the fire.

Later, a meeting was held on Wednesday at Lattakia governorate building chaired by Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, and in the presence of the Governor of Lattakia, Eng. Amer Hilal.

During the meeting, they discussed a set of procedures related to following up on everything related to providing support for responding to fires

The two sides also discussed the need for local councils to take their role within their communities, cooperate with the media and publish information and data related to the decisions of the executive offices of administrative units, especially in the governorate and cities.

The plan to deal with the repercussions of the earthquake, procedures for counting those affected, and exemptions and loans that benefit those affected are other topics discussed at the meeting.
