“Migration Sociology” a new book published by the Syrian Book Authority by researcher Sylvie Mazzella
The sociology of migration is a book by researcher Sylvie Mazzella translated by Shadi Sami’ Hammoud .It sheds light on migrants from one country to another to improve their financial income, to develop their scientific and academic achievement, or to live safely with their families for fear of terrorism that may have hit their homelands.
The book, which is one of the publications of the Syrian Book Authority , deals with migration as a global political problem according to the current international system and what migrants do, and what they have been exposed to. It must be studied in a full scientific way.
The book addresses social relations arising from migration in different areas, as interacted with by the host community, particularly in the light of contradictions in transit means and the consequent official and other transit of migrants.
The book highlights the economic and social mobility and inequality of the migrant, which contributes to economic and cultural development according to selective temporary and diverse migrations, as migrations are a reflection of the image of the world and its changes.
According to the book, the number of migrants has doubled voluntarily or coercively and these migrants have been subjected to attempts to steal their minds. Some of them were expatriates, some were refugees and some were students. The book explains the forms and types of migration and the ways to deal with it and give each migrant a way to deal with their scientific, economic, physical or social experiences.
The 125-page book seeks to clarify the concepts and effects of crises and the causes of migration and to revamp approaches that allow migration to be understood and studied through sociology that reaches systemic concepts.
