Moscow (ST): Assistant of the Russian President and head of the delegation for negotiations with Ukraine, Vladimir Medinsky, expressed his country’s readiness to continue negotiations with the Kiev regime, after completely freezing them.
Medinsky said in an interview with Belarusian TV channel ONT: “We are ready to continue the dialogue, but the Ukrainian side needs to agree too, ,” noting that Russia has never refused talks, including those at the highest levels.
The Russian President’s assistant added: “A month ago, we handed over to the Ukrainian side a draft treaty, where a number of basic positions were agreed upon and we were determined to move forward, and since then there was no desire to continue dialogue on the Ukrainian side, and it did not officially confirm even the draft agreement that it agreed to.”
Medinsky reiterated last Wednesday that his country is interested in Ukraine being a neutral country and a peaceful neighbor.
