Mass and funeral for Bishop, Luke Khoury archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate

Damascus, (ST) – The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and the whole East of the Greek Orthodox held on Wednesday a mass and a funeral for Bishop, Luke Khoury archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate , Bishop of Sednaya, in the Marian Cathedral’ in Damascus.

The Divine Mass was headed by the Patriarch of Antioch and whole East of the Greek Orthodox,John x. Among the participants in the Divine Mass were Yusef Al Absi, Patriarch of Antioch and whole East of the Greek of the royal Roman Catholic and representatives of the Christian sects.

Patriarch John X pointed out that Bishop, Luke Khoury  cared for people’s feeling and about people’s pain, especially under these harsh circumstances. He added that BishopKhoury was the voice of love, brotherhood and the voice of the call to live in peace.

Patriarch John X called upon God for the Corona epidemic to recede and to have mercy on the dead people, and the recovery for the infected people by this virus. He wished also to restore security and stability to all parts of Syria.
