Martyr, Captain Yahya Sharif Shang 

Roll of Honor

The hero martyr, Captain Yahya Sharif Shang, was born in the village of Liftaya, west of the city of Homs. He grew up and studied in an elementary school in his village, then he continued his studies in a school in Al-Waleed suburb. He has four brothers and two sisters.

After obtaining a high school certificate, he entered the Military Academy in Homs. After graduation, he moved to Damascus.

During the crisis, Captain Yahya fought with his comrades against the terrorist groups in different Syrian areas such as Sbeina and Darrya  in Damascus countryside.

He was martyred in an armed ambush on 22 of July 2012, when he was on a mission together with his comrades.
