Many facilities provided to arrivals from Lebanon

Damascus countryside, (ST) – With the aim of extending a helping hand and alleviating the suffering of arrivals from brotherly Lebanon due to the ongoing aggression launched by the Israeli occupation, the medical teams affiliated with the Syrian Red Crescent continue to provide many medical services at the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing in the Damascus countryside.

Providing assistance in medical and emergency consultations is taking into consideration.

Dr. Suad Makhoul, a family doctor who has been a volunteer for  the Red Crescent since 2019 clarified that she contributes with an integrated work team to provide health and medical services to arrivals from Lebanon, who are in need of health care for chronic diseases such as blood pressure and diabetes, in addition to examining children and providing medications such as painkillers, anti-inflammatories, joint pain relievers, sterilizers and minor surgical dressings.

Makhoul indicated that most of the cases arriving at the crossing suffer from nausea and high blood pressure due to fear resulting from the circumstances of the aggression on Lebanon, noting that they receive approximately 350 people of different ages daily, where they are examined and provided with first aid.

A number of residents arriving through the JdeidetYabous border crossing spoke about the facilities provided to them, starting with entry procedures and securing transportation to the governorates.

They pointed to the comprehensive medical services provided by the existing teams in addition to expediting their crossing procedures.
