Lebanese politicians denounce US intervention in Lebanon

Beirut (ST): Member of the Politburo of the Syrian Nationalist Socialist Party in Lebanon Hassan Saqer denounced the US blatant intervention in the Lebanese internal affairs. In a statement he made today, Saqer said that the American interference aims to dominate Lebanon’s oil resources, demarcate Lebanese borders in a way that serves the Israeli enemy and increase pressure on the Lebanese national resistance.

He added that the visit paid by Assistant US Secretary of State David Hill to Beirut aimed at practicing political pressure on Lebanon to obtain some concessions in favour of Israel.

In turn, member of Al-Wafa’ parliamentary bloc MP Hussein Fadelallah said that the Lebanese national parties would not allow the US to impose its will on Lebanon, noting that there are some parties that were betting on the formation of a government that responds to the US demands.
