Lavrov: The West is waging a hybrid war against Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that the West is waging a hybrid war against his country, warning that its consequences will affect all countries without exception.

“The West is waging an all-out hybrid war on us, the duration of which is difficult to predict, but it seems that everyone without exception will feel its consequences,” Lavrov said in a speech on Saturday during a meeting of the Foreign and Defense Policy Council.

Lavrov noted that what is new at this stage is the spread of hatred for everything that is Russian in many of the so-called civilized countries that ignore legal rules and standards and allow hostile acts against Russia, including direct theft of its money.

Lavrov pointed to the hostile campaign against Russian diplomats in the West, which reaches the point of endangering their lives, especially after the Russian military operation in Ukraine, which the West uses as a pretext to impose its hegemony and return the world to a unipolar era.

Lavrov referred to Western arms exports to the government of Ukraine, saying, “The West is ready to confront Russia there,” adding that “the countries of the West have permanently lost their credibility as a partner capable of negotiating.”

Lavrov indicated that the United States is not only attacking Russia, but every country capable of pursuing an independent policy, pointing out that everyone realizes that the world is changing, and many countries do not want to join the sanctions imposed by the West on Russia, and many seek to get rid of the dollar in economic transactions.

Lavrov pointed out that European countries are sacrificing the interests of their people for the sake of the United States and abandoning their independence once and for all in favor of Washington. In security matters, they are also subject to the influence of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which speaks more and more about its global ambitions.
