Lahhoud: The enemies trying to fuel sedition in Lebanon to weaken the national resistance

Lebanese Former Member of Parliament Emil Lahhoud has stressed that Syria’s support for the Lebanese people and national resistance enabled Lebanon to triumph over the Israeli enemy in the war of 2006.

In a statement to SANA correspondent, Lahhoud said that “Lebanon’s victory in 2006 was achieved at the popular and official level, but, today, the enemies are trying to use a new weapon, that they previously used in Syria but failed to achieve their goals. This weapon is represented in the attempt to create internal sedition, practice economic pressure and threatening the security of the Lebanese society with the aim of undermining the national resistance”.

“What they want is to achieve and deepen division in Lebanon”, Lahhoud said, stressing that the Lebanese should be united and should support the resistance against all plans to weaken it.
