Italian Casa Pound Party: “We will continue to defend Syria until it achieves complete victory”

The Italian Casa Pound Party has affirmed that it will continue to defend Syria until it achieves final victory, and to cooperate with it in all media, scientific and tourism fields.

A delegation from the party and the European Front for Defening Syria visited Syria during the past few days, and met with a number of official and societal figures.

The head of the party, Gian Luca Iannone, explained that the aim of the visit was to see the situation in Syria, to show solidarity with it in confronting the terrorist war it was subjected to, and to later convey the delegation’s true impression about the country to Italy and Europe to mobilize support for the Syrian people.

Iannone pointed out that the delegation held meetings with a number of officials, clerics, trade unions, doctors, artists, and the Arab Writers Union, in addition to holding a symposium at Al-Assad Library.

Iannone indicated that there was a common desire during the meetings for cooperation in all media, scientific, tourism and educational fields.

Iannone said that the Front will continue to stand by Syria and reject the conspiracy against it, and that the members of the delegation will convey the true image of current events in the country to Europe and refute the rumors about it.

The delegation expressed its thanks to Syria and its community in Italy, represented by its president, Dr. Jamal Abu Abbas, for organizing this visit, with the aim of confirming continued support for the Syrian leadership, government, and people until achieving final victory.

In addition to the head of the Casa Pound party, Gian Luca Iannone, the delegation included the party’s vice president, Andrea Antonini, the foreign relations official, Giovanni Viola, the media official, Andrea Bonassa, the organizations official, Sergio Villaccioni, and the youth official, Valerio Flacomia, in addition to the head of the Syrian community in Italy.
