OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, JUN.22, (ST)-Today, Israeli occupation forces detained 25 Palestinians mostly in predawn raids across the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission.
They said in a joint statement that the detentions took place in the occupied governorates of Nablus, Ramallah, Tulkarm, Hebron, and Jenin.
The raids involved brutal beatings of detainees, threats against their families and large-scale destruction of Palestinian houses.
It added that over 9,325 Palestinians have been detained since October 7 from their houses and at checkpoints. Such detainees also include those who were forced to turn themselves in and those held as hostages.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
