Occupied Al-Quds- A group of Israeli colonists today stormed the archaeological site of Sebastia, north of Nablus city, according to a local source.
Sebastia mayor, Mohammad Azzem, said that dozens of colonists stormed the archaeological site in the town, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation army.
Located 11 kilometers to the northwest of Nablus, Sebastia is a small historical town located on a hill with panoramic views across the West Bank and has a population of some 3,000 Palestinians.
He added that the town and its archaeological site have been targeting by occupation army and colonists in an apparent prelude to taking over them for the benefit of colonial expansion.
Israeli occupation forces close roads to Al-Quds towns
Israeli occupation authorities Monday suddenly closed all roads leading to the villages and towns of occupied East Al-Quds (Jerusalem), specifically the areas of Hizma, Anata, Jaba, and Al-Ram.
The sudden closure of the roads caused stifling traffic jams in various parts of these towns and the entrances and checkpoints leading to the city of Al-Quds Jerusalem, specifically Jaba and Hizma checkpoints and Shuafat camp north and east of occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem).
Israeli occupation forces detain at least 12 Palestinians from the West Bank
In Ramallah, the Israeli occupation forces detained at least 12 Palestinians during military raids across the occupied West Bank during the last 24 hours, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
They said in a joint statement that Israeli occupation forces launched a massive detention campaign during their storming of the towns of Silwad, east of Ramallah, and Kafr Nimah, west, and detained at least 59 Palestinians.
Israeli forces continue to carry out widespread raids, detentions, and brutal assaults during arrest operations, along with threats against detainees and their families, in addition to extensive destruction and vandalism of civilian homes.
The total number of Palestinians who were detained in the occupied West Bank since October 7th has risen to over 9,360.
This figure includes those arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.
