Iraqi Prime Minister to Blinken: Continued aggression on Gaza causes destabilization of the region

Baghdad, (ST) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani reiterated during a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken Iraq’s firm position on the real reasons behind destabilization in the region, which is represented by the continued aggression on Gaza.

The Prime Minister’s media office said in a statement that Al-Sudani received a phone call from Blinken during which the two sides discussed developments in the region and efforts to support regional and international stability.

Al-Sudani affirmed that major countries and international organizations must play their full role in stopping the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

He called for applying international laws on perpetrators of crimes against humanity and for stopping the Israeli horrific brutality and preventing the violation of the sovereignty of the countries of the region.
