Iraqi forces arrest leader of ISIS in Iraqi province of Nineveh

Today, Iraqi forces arrested a leader of the terrorist organization ISIS in Nineveh Governorate, northern Iraq. Alsumaria News website quoted the Iraqi Intelligence Agency as saying in a statement that “its detachments represented in the Nineveh Intelligence Directorate in the Ministry of Interior managed to arrest one of the wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 on terrorism for belonging to ISIS terrorist gangs and leading one of its groups.”

“The terrorist confessed to carrying out a number of operations. He was arrested to complete the investigations and  legal measures were taken  against him,” the statement added.

On Saturday, Iraqi forces arrested three ISIS terrorists in Kirkuk and Salah al-Din governorates.
