Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir Saeed Iravani has stressed that the United States is the main supporter and promoter of terrorism in the region and the entire world.
Iravani, in a letter to the UN Security Council today, strongly condemned the US accusations against Iran regarding terrorism, describing them as “baseless, misleading, false and ridiculous.”
He said: America accuses Iran while at the same time strongly supporting the genocide carried out by the Zionist entity by providing it with large quantities of weapons to continue its war on the people of Gaza and continue terrorizing and killing the innocent Palestinian people, including children and women, and prolonging the bloodshed and terrorism in Gaza Strip. He recalled the recent heinous crime of the Zionist entity against displaced civilians in the Tab’een School in the center of Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 100 innocent Palestinian citizens, including children and women, and the injury of dozens.
The Iranian ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations stressed that this crime is the result of the United States’ unconditional support for the Zionist entity.
Irawani also pointed to the United States’ support for terrorist groups blacklisted by the United Nations, such as “Al-Nusra Front” in Syria, stressing that this “is a clear violation of the United Nations resolutions, the UN Charter, international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, which confirm the fact that the United States is the main sponsor of terrorism in the region and the world”.
Irawani stressed that the United States is not in a position to accuse or blame other members of the United Nations.
In his letter, the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations asked the President of the Security Council to record this letter and distribute it as a document of the Security Council
