Geneva-(ST)- Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Representative Office in Geneva, Ali Bahraini, warned again of the dangers of the threat posed by the nuclear weapons, stockpiled by the Zionist entity, to international peace and security.
The Iranian ambassador said before the second preliminary meeting of the conference to reconsider the Nuclear Non-Proliferation,” NPT the nuclear weapons program of the Zionist entity constitutes the main element that preventa making the Middle East region free of this weapon, stressing that the nuclear weapons stored by this entity poses a threat to peace and security in the region and the world.
Bahraini criticized the selective policies practiced by nuclear states, especially America and its Western allies, through their support for the Zionist entity’s nuclear weapons system.
The Iranian delegate pointed out that unilateral tendencies, especially America’s coercive and unilateral measures, constitute the greatest threat to the future of the NPT Treaty and its goals of making the world free of nuclear weapons.
The Iranian ambassador renewed Tehran’s sustained commitment to achieving the goals of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities.
