Investment license given to a plastic wood production project in Hasya

Damascus, (ST) – The Syrian Investment Authority granted a new investment license for a project to produce plastic wood in various types and shapes in the industrial city of Hasya in Homs.

The Authority on Wednesday said in a statement, that the estimated cost of the project exceeds 18 billion Syrian pounds, and its annual production capacity is 1300 tons, and it creates 41 job opportunities.

The authority clarified that the project aims to produce high-quality and durable wood varieties, consisting of a mixture of plastic fibers with natural wood, which gives it the flexibility of plastic and the hardness and durability of wood.

These products are used in external real estate facades, terraces, wooden houses, and decorations.
