Damascus (ST) – Within the Greek Culture Month in Syria, the international bouzouki player and composer Michael Paouris performed a concert at Al-Assad House for Culture and Arts accompanied by a group of Syrian musicians in the presence of the Greek singer Nikos Kerkenis.
During the evening which was held Wednesday evening by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Embassy of the Greek Republic in Damascus, on the stage of the drama theater, Paouris presented his works on the bouzouki and guitar instruments, dedicating a piece entitled “Damascus” to the oldest inhabited capital in history.
The Chargé d’Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Syria, Nicholas Protonotarios, stressed the cultural cooperation builds bridges of mutual understanding and forms a unified force that unites peoples, which was reflected in the concert, indicating his country’s desire to strengthen the ancient cultural relations with Syria.
