Indonesian president-elect calls for a comprehensive investigation into Israeli occupation massacres in Gaza
Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto called for a comprehensive international investigation into the humanitarian catastrophe and massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to live in peace and to have their independent state.
“There is a need to find a just solution to the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories,” Reuters quoted Subianto as saying on Saturday during the 21st Shangri-La Dialogue Forum in Singapore .
He expressed his country’s readiness to evacuate, receive and provide health care to a thousand patients from Gaza.
In this context, outgoing Indonesian President Joko Widodo condemned the aggression launched by the Zionist entity against the city of Rafah, calling on Israel to comply with the orders of the International Court of Justice, including stopping its continued aggression against the Palestinian people.
The former Special Forces general and Defense Minister Subianto will begin his tenure as president of Indonesia next October.
