“I Love Damascus” is an exhibition documents the  beauty of Damascus 

Syrian artist and Lawyer  Anton Mazawi held his solo photographic exhibition under the title of “I Love Damascus, My Love is Insomnia” at the Al-Shaab Gallery in Damascus.

The exhibition  included photographs of the ancient neighborhoods, the ancient doors of Damascus, its hotels, its architecture, and its old houses ,which Syrians excelled in constructing and composing in a unique style.

Anton Mazawi said to Syriatimes: I love Damascus so I photographed it as a city that I lives inside me and I live in it. My love to Damascus is unlimited and I see in it another way that no one else sees”.

“It is easy to see, but it is difficult to visualize what you see. In these photographs  I depict Damascus with my heart and not with my eyes”. He added.

“This  exhibition displays 25 photographs were taken with 18 lenses: wide, medium or telephoto lenses, this  means that the secret lies in choosing the right lens for the right place, and I spent many years developing my knowledge of these things. “artist Anton said.

The artist Anton Mazawi is photographer he is very also interested in the history of his photographs he captured : “I do not just photograph a subject, but I explore its history”  he concluded.
